My Favorite Projects

Throughout my academic career I have worked on a variety of projects. Here is a showcase of my favorites in chronological order.

2024: Waxing Moon Stationery on Etsy

During Fall 2024, I took a Project Management class as part of my MBA curriculum, and it quickly became my favorite course. With the support of my professor, I challenged myself to apply agile project management principles to launch an Etsy shop by the end of the quarter.

After hours of market research, manufacturer sourcing, drawing sessions, and TikTok trend analysis, I developed a unique marketing plan to differentiate my shop. I designed and produced notebooks and stickers featuring my original artwork, aiming not only to sell products but also to showcase my creative process. To engage my audience, I created videos highlighting how I use my products for journaling and drawing.

While I have yet to make an official Etsy sale, I’ve successfully sold five products to friends and family—an exciting start to my small business journey!

2024: Nordstrom Financial Analysis

During Fall 2024, my financial accounting class challenged me to develop a financial analysis of Nordstrom as part of our final project. Working collaboratively with a group of classmates, we met weekly to discuss course concepts and apply them to our analysis.

By the end of the quarter, we had conducted an in-depth evaluation of Nordstrom’s liquidity, profitability, solvency, and efficiency, comparing their financial performance to previous years. Our research revealed that while Nordstrom faced significant challenges during COVID-19, the company was on a steady path to recovering pre-pandemic financial stability.

Using our findings, we compiled a comprehensive report and developed a presentation to share our analysis with the class.

2022: Game Over? The effects of video games on stress and
                                           socialization

As part of my undergraduate degree, I conducted a two-quarter-long research project exploring the relationship between video games, stress, and socialization. Working alongside a classmate, we designed a study to analyze whether playing video games had measurable effects on stress levels and social connectedness.

Our research process involved developing a survey to collect participant data, followed by statistical analysis using different regression models. After processing our data, we found no significant relationships between video games and stress levels; however, we discovered a strong positive relationship between video games and social connectedness. Our findings suggested that video games may serve as a tool for building and maintaining social relationships.

To conclude our study, we compiled our findings into a research paper and delivered a formal presentation summarizing our methodology, statistical approach, and key takeaways.
